Title: The HS Visit Process - how to maximize the College Reps coming to your school

Description: College representative high school visits provide students with a unique and valuable opportunity to explore post-secondary options without leaving their campus. Hear from two high school counselors on how they maximize the college representative visit and make the experience enjoyable and valuable for both the high school student and the college representative. They will explain how they help their students move beyond the brochures and websites, helping them develop meaningful questions and learn about opportunities the colleges have to offer that fit their strengths and interests. This session will speak to both the high school counselor and the college admissions representative.

Title: Financial Aid: Helping Your Students Navigate and Understand Financial Aid Awards

Description: Have you struggled to help seniors make sense of their Financial Aid awards and package? The February Chat will help counselors equip students with the knowledge and confidence to understand and navigate their financial award letter/award. We will explain different types of aid, how to read an award letter and key factors to consider when comparing offers. Counselors will leave with practical tips for helping students make informed decisions about financing their education and knowing where to find help when questions arise.
