GPACAC is launching two (more to come) Special Interest Groups (SIG) for the 2024-2025 school year. Special interest groups are a way for specific and smaller subsets of colleagues to come together to network, collaborate, and share amongst each other. SIG leaders will host virtual meetings on a regular basis.
Regional Admissions Counselors
For college/university professionals who live in their designated territory and recruit for their respected post-secondary institution.
Co-Chairs:
Rural Community Support
For all GPACAC members who are interested in engaging in discussions around supporting our rural communities, schools, students, and educators.
Chair:
Join the February Rural Community Support SIG meeting February 18, 2025 @ 2:00pm CST, as we welcome guest speaker and facilitator, Colleen Helmers with Kansas State's Staley School of Leadership. We will discuss the topic of students recognizing their leadership potential, how this may look different in rural communities, and how we, as admissions professionals, high school counselors and supporters working in rural areas, can facilitate this conversation. Please email chair, Tate Lovin, at tatelovin@ksu.edu for the zoom link!
If you are interested in seeing additional special interest groups or would like to chair a different SIG, please contact the Membership & Engagement Committee at membership@gpacac.net.
