Summer Counselor Bus Tour
Join fellow high school and college counselors for an engaging 3–4 day summer bus tour through Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. This professional development opportunity offers firsthand visits to a variety of colleges and universities across GPACAC's tri-state region. Designed to enhance your college counseling expertise, the tour provides valuable insights, networking opportunities, and on-campus experiences that will help you better guide your students through the college search and application process.

THIS EVENT HAS PASSED, but here's what we did for our Summer 2025 Bus Tour!
We were excited to host the 2025 GPACAC Counselor Bus Tour—a fantastic and FREE opportunity exclusively for GPACAC members, including high school counselors and independent education consultants. Over the course of four days, participants explored some of Kansas’ top universities through in-depth campus visits, insightful sessions, and engaging social events with university staff and faculty. The tour provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about each institution’s academic offerings, campus life, and admissions process. It was also a valuable chance to network with admissions professionals and fellow counselors from across the state, while gaining insights to share with students. Below is the sample itinerary from the trip:
June 9, 2025
- 12:00 PM: Meet at Wichita State University and park your car
- 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM: Campus tour at Newman University
- 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Bus to Manhattan, KS
- 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Dinner and social event with Kansas State University
June 10, 2025
- 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Campus tour at Kansas State University
- 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Bus to Lawrence, KS
- 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Dinner and social event with the University of Kansas
June 11, 2025
- 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM: Campus tour at the University of Kansas
- 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Bus to Wichita, KS
- 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Dinner and social event with Wichita State University
June 12, 2025
- 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM: Final campus tour at Wichita State University
- 2:00 PM: Departure
